Samsung is working on incorporating Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) features into its home appliances to improve users’ lifestyles. The Executive Vice President of Samsung’s Digital Appliances Division made this announcement at the IFA Tech Trade Show in Berlin.

Yu Mi-young, the head of Samsung’s software development team in the Digital Appliances Division, mentioned during a media briefing, “We are preparing to integrate Generative AI technology into our home appliances.” This AI technology is expected to be applied to voice, vision, and displays in Samsung’s home appliances, making them smarter and more user-friendly.

According to a report from the Yonhap News Agency, they stated, “Generative AI technology will be applied to voice, vision, and displays so that household electronic products can better understand what consumers do and want, and they can respond accordingly.”
